Deutsch: „In Gold (Gelb) die Front einer gezinnten roten Rundmauer mit offenem Tor und zwei großen, spitzbedachten Zinnentürmen auf grünem Anger (Hügel), bespült von blauen Wellen (mit je einem blau gewelltem Untereck); zwischen den Türmen auf der Mauer die vordere Hälfte eines herschauenden, nach rechts schreitenden schwarzen Stiers mit silbernen (weißen) Hörnern und goldener (gelber) Krone; über dem Haupt des Stieres ein schwebender blauer Topfhelm mit zwei an gekreuzten grünen Stangen befestigten Pfauenfederrosetten in natürlichen Farben.“
English: „Above a terrace in base curved vert between two enchaussés wavy azure; or, an embattled wall gules with an open gate and two embattled peaked roofed towers gules on the sides; between the towers a part of a crowned Or and horned Argent bull guardant sable, thereupon an ancient helmet couped azure, with two crossed poled peacock-feather proper rosettes vert.”

Historia obiektu
Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 10. April 1858 von Friedrich Franz II., Großherzog von Mecklenburg-Schwerin genehmigt und unter der Nr. 44 der Wappenrolle von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern registriert; 1993 wurde es von Hans-Frieder Kühne neu gezeichnet. Die Mauer und die Türme weisen auf die Stadbestigung Warens hin. Hügel und blaue Unterecken symbolisieren die Lage an der Müritz hin. Der Stier sowie Topfhelm und Pfauenfeder stehen für die frühere Herrschaft Werle, welche eine Burg in der Nähe besaßen.
English: The arms were granted on April 10, 1858, and re-designed (above right) in 1993. Waren received city rights around 1270. The oldest known seal of the city dates from 1344 and already shows the same composition as the above arms. The city wall symbolises the city character of Waren. The helmet an the rosette in the chief as well as the bull are taken from the arms of the Lords of Werle, who were in the ascendant to the city. The waves symbolise the Müritz lake.
