Historia obiektu	Deutsch: Die Stadt Amberg führt das Wappen in der seit dem 15. Jahrhundert überlieferten Gestaltung und eine eigene Fahne gemäß Stadtratsbeschluss vom 21. Januar 1925. Es verweist auf den Pfälzer Löwen und die früheren Wittelsbacher Stadtherren, die die (weiß-blauen) bayerischen Wecken im Wappen führten. English: The arms were last granted on January 21, 1925. They show the lion of the Palatinate and the arms of the Wittelsbach family (see also Bavaria). The city was a possession of the Wittelsbach family, who were also Counts of Palatinate. Amberg became a city at the end of the 13th century. The symbols first appear on seals of the 14th century.
